Rock climbing equipment

The list of equipment that can be used while you are climbing a rock is extremely large. However, there is always a need to prioritize the things that you will carry on your bag in order to optimize the amount of weight that you will take along. The first thing that you need to make sure is that you are wearing extremely comfortable clothes. No part of your body should be restricted in movement. Adequate amounts of rope, cord and webbing needs to be taken on a rock climbing expedition. Ropes can be dynamic or low elongation ropes. The dynamic ropes are used to arrest the fall of a climber and low elongation ropes are used mainly for anchoring. The webbings that are available today are extremely light and yet very tough and sturdy. Some of the webbings that you will be able to find in the market can take up to 4000 pounds of weight.

Carbingers or metal loops with spring loaded gates are extremely useful in making connectors. Quickdraws, on the other hand are generally used to move the rope through an anchoring system with the least amount of friction. A harness is another piece of equipment that is extremely essential if you want to ensure that you do not fall in the middle of a climb.
